Charleston has tons of great events going on all year long! There is never a lack of something to do in this great city. If you are looking for a fun event to try out while you are in downtown Charleston, sign-up for one of the five Charleston Sprint Triathlons. Hosted by Charleston County Parks and Recreation Commission, the Sprint Triathlon is held every year in James Island Park. The Triathlon is one of Charleston’s signature sport events and includes a 600-yard swim in a freshwater lake followed by a daunting 12-mile bike ride and a 5k run. The race goes on five times during spring/summer and you can sign up for as many as you would like to run. It’s $55 dollars registration fee for a single race with discounts if you sign up for three or more. The races are being held on Sunday mornings at 7 a.m. and the race is limited to 400 participants. There are age group awards given in multiple divisions. The races are being held on the following days:

- June 16th
- July 7th
- July 28th
- August 11th
