2012 Harvest Fest

Charleston, South Carolina is a wonderful place to visit no matter what time of year you are looking for a getaway.  There is over 300 years of history in the amazing city.  Charleston truly has something to offer for the entire family with all of the arts, history, and many sites to see.  Andrew Pinckney Inn is a boutique downtown Charleston hotel that is perfect for staying at during your trip.  It is close to all of the best attractions and dining.  A very popular event is the 2012 Harvest Fest, which will be held on November 3rd at Mullet Hall Equestrain Center.

The 2012 Harvest Fest will prepare everyone for the season ahead.  Traditionally Southern families will gather together and give all their thanks to the bountiful harvest.  It has now become a great tradition with this being the 11th Annual Harvest Festival.  Be sure to come to the event with an empty stomach as there will be plenty of food to try.  New to the event this year is a BBQ cook off that will be between local restaurants.  If you want to try the BBQ sample it is $1 for each, and you will get the opportunity to vote on your favorite.  If you aren’t a fan of BBQ there will be plenty of other food to purchase, along with drinks.

This is a great time to bring the kids out too, because there will be plenty of activities to participate in.  Some of these fun-filled activities include hay rides, a stick pony corral, pumpkin decorating, lasso demonstrations, and much more.  Throughout the day enjoy the foot-stompin’ live bluegrass music.  There will be a total of five bluegrass bands to listen to.  Get all of your holiday shopping done during the event at the crafters’ market with unique gifts and crafts.

If you are interested in learning more about this event contact Andrew Pinckney Inn.  Be sure to make your reservation for the weekend too.
